According to a report from China News Publishing and Radio Television Newspaper on January 28, 2026, the number of invention patents in China's publishing and printing field reached 954 in 2025, with innovation focuses concentrated on three dimensions: equipment upgrading, technological iteration, and process breakthroughs. These patents are reshaping the efficiency and quality boundaries of printing manufacturing, driving the industry to accelerate towards high-end intelligent manufacturing.
Among them, equipment structure-related patents accounted for 30.0% (286 items), focusing on core pain points such as tension control, registration accuracy, and color consistency. Quality inspection-related patents reached 240 items, accounting for 25.2%, covering core links such as plate making, printing, and binding to ensure product quality. In addition, process innovation also focuses on environmental protection and efficiency improvement, with the development of environmentally friendly inks and efficient drying technologies, further promoting the green and high-quality development of the industry.
